10 Best Nail Cuticle Creams and Oils Available in India

Top 10: Best Nail Cuticle Creams and Oils in India with Reviews and Prices

By Contributor: Archana

Hands and feet are often the most neglected in our skin care routine. Apart from our monthly manicure session, we rarely pay any attention to them. I wash my hands multiple times a day, but just too lazy to follow up with a cream afterwards. And nails are the most affected as they become dry, brittle and start chipping.  There are many brands providing cuticle creams internationally like Loccitane, Clinique, Jergens, Kiehl’s and Sephora. But it is difficult to get them in India. Now many Indian brands too have come up with cuticle oils. Here I have compiled a list of best cuticle creams and oils for nails available in India along with the price list and mini reviews.

To protect nails from damage and get healthy, strong and long nails, one must take care of the cuticles, which is the thin layer of skin at the bottom of your nail. The cuticle also serves as a barrier protecting nails from bacterial and fungal infection. Irregularly growing nails, pigmented spots or lines on the nails, nails which have lost their natural white color, all indicate some underlying infection in the cuticles. So, it is important to take care of our cuticles everyday and not just during a manicure session. Cuticle creams and oils help in this aspect by coating and softening them and preventing them from breaking.

List of Best Nail Cuticle Creams and Oils in India:

Sally Hansen Cuticle Massage Cream:

Sally Hansen is a trusted brand for nail care. The cream has a rich, emollient formula which deeply moisturizes, softens and conditions rough, ragged cuticles. It is enriched with apricot oil to soothe painful hangnails and prevent cuticle tearing. Just massage this cream onto your cuticles every night to improve circulation and stimulate healthy nail growth. Sally Hansen also has a Maximum Growth Cuticle Pen and a Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle oil. Price: Rs.500 for 11.3g.

The Body Shop Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil:

The popular TBS brand also has a cuticle oil. It comes in a convenient 2-in-1 pen form whose cap you need to twist open to dispense the oil onto cuticles. After massaging, you can use the tool provided on the cap to gently push down cuticles. It helps to soften dry, brittle nails and tidies cuticles. Price: Rs.795 for 1.8ml.

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream:

This is formulated with sweet almond oil, cocoa seed butter, vitamin E and sunflower oil. Give your cuticles some TLC with this cream from Burt’s Bees which has a fresh, invigorating lemon scent and deeply nourishes cuticles and nails. One of the best natural cuticle creams available at Sephora India. Price: Rs.650 for 17g.

Fabindia Olive Hand & Cuticle Cream:

Our very own Indian brand has also come up with its own version of nails cuticle cream which is very affordable as well. Its a rich, creamy formulation with natural extracts and essential oils. The olive oil and glycerin keeps the nails supple and soft. Price: Rs.195 for 100ml.

It also prevents cracking and peeling of cuticles. Price: Rs.55 for 10ml.

Crabtree and Evelyn Jojoba Oil Hand & Cuticle Cream:

If you wish to splurge on a cuticle cream, then try this luxury brand, well known for hand care products. Enriched with a powerful combination of pure jojoba oil and sweet almond oil, this ensures your hands and cuticles are soft, conditioned and supple. It also takes care of dry, flaking cuticles. Price: Rs.1495 for 100g.

Avani Dead Sea Cosmetics Essential Cuticle Oil:

It is a light-weight cuticle oil containing dead sea salt & minerals, sunflower, sweet almond, jojoba, wheatgerm and vitamin E oil. Just one drop of the oil is enough to massage and soften the cuticles. It helps to heal peeling skin above and around the nails. Price: Rs.749 for 35ml.

Aloe Veda Hand & Cuticle Moisturising Cream:

This is a deeply hydrating treatment with natural shea butter and is good value for money. It softens dry hands and cracked cuticles. Price: Rs.275 for 100g.

H20 Plus Spa Targeted Care Hand & Nail Cream:

This is again a luxury, spa treatment for nails and cuticles. It has a fresh scent and enriched with vitamin E, sea fennel, sea lettuce, shea butter, provitamin B5 and other rich minerals. It is non-greasy and relaxes tired hands and nails while moisturizing and softening. They also have a nail & cuticle scrub in the same range. Price: Rs.1100 for 180ml.

So I guess there is a cuticle cream and oil suited for every budget in the list above. Also if you are willing to splurge, there are other international cuticle creams which have got raving reviews. Curel Targeted Hand & Cuticle Therapy at Rs.2347, OPI Avoplex Nail & Cuticle Repleneshing Oil at Rs.1200, Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil at Rs.500, Mavala Penetrating Cuticle Cream at Rs.1610, Philosophy Hands of Hope Restorative Hand & Cuticle Cream at Rs.2110. All of the above are available at Amazon India and Flipkart.

DIY Cuticle Oil: Making your own cuticle oil at home is also pretty easy. Just mix one tablespoon of olive oil, almond oil and a few drops of essential oil of your choice. Break open a vitamin capsule and pour it in. Store in a bottle and massage onto nails and cuticles every night.

So which cuticle cream or oils are you planning to try from above? If there is anything I have missed in the list, please do share in the comments section. Btw I remember Aroma Magic used to have a cuticle softener cream. But I think they have stopped it now, as I don’t find it anywhere online or in stores. Have any of you spotted it?
