TBS Chamomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter Review
By Contributor: Sharmistha
I am diehard fan of Maybelline Makeup remover and I feel it is the best under drugstore brands. I personally look out for a few things in my makeup removers, 1) it should not irritate my sensitive eyes, actually I am very paranoid about any sort of irritation in my eyes. 2) It should not leave oily feeling. 3) It should remove waterproof eye makeup 4) it should be easy to work with. I was actually satisfied by Maybelline remover and I am using it since last 2 years. One day I was passing from the The Body Shop store during the 50% discount time, then I tried and got hooked by the Chamomile Cleansing Butter tub and purchased it, got 10% discount! After using it for a month, am here to give you review and a short demo of how to use it.
The Body Shop Claims: This cleanser is an indulgent make-up remover for the whole face. It gently and efficiently melts away make-up and impurities, leaving skin feeling clean, refreshed and pampered.
- Gently melts away make-up
- Leaves skin feeling clean and petal-soft
- Removes all types of make-up
- Suitable for sensitive skin and lens wearers
- Apply to dry face and massage into skin. Rinse off with warm water or remove with a wet muslin cloth for a more thorough cleanse.
The cleansing butter comes in an aluminum twist up tin. The product details and ingredients are mentioned at the bottom. The packaging is very much travel friendly.Personally I don’t like such packaging due to hygiene reasons but as it is a thick butter it won’t come better in some other packaging. I usually scoop out the product as required.
It is a thick butter which looks like balm housed inside. It melts with the warmth of fingers and almost turns into a thin liquid form. Initially I was scared by seeing the texture being so thick and it will leave all oil on my face, but I was amazed by seeing how less quantity is required for a full face. The key is to massage the product. It does leave oil but it can be easily wiped out by cotton and later you can wash it by a foam based face wash. I just love the after effects when I wipe off the makeup, it just leaves my skin soft and supple without making it greasy.
The mild fragrance is of chamomile which disappears after some time. Now considering how it is fool proof in taking out waterproof makeup. Yes it even took my waterproof mascara very well though I required a little more product but it is fine as it completely takes out the product effectively. The quantity is huge so the price actually doesn’t make me grrrr about it! It will last for 4-5 months easily.
I applied some long stay lipsticks, kohl and foundation and it wiped them all in 2-3 swipes
